No registration required! While we encourage you to practice speaking on your own, you can also simply listen and learn from the native-speaking tutors while interacting in the chat.
No, only the tutor will be using audio and video. However, you can use the chat to interact with the tutor and ask questions.
Registration is not required. If you would like to be reminded of an upcoming Live Lesson, you can add it to your iCal or Google Calendar by clicking the three dots next to an upcoming Live Lesson.
Live Lessons are free for all active Rosetta Stone subscribers (except for Rosetta Stone for School subscribers). You may take as many lessons as you want as long as your subscription is active.
Upcoming Live Lessons are included under the “Explore all Content” tab on your computer, or under the “Live” tab in the app. Once the lesson starts, you will see a “Join Now” option appear. You must be signed in to view upcoming lessons.
We currently offer Live Lessons in approximately half of our 25 languages, but we are constantly adding new Live Lessons and expanding our offerings. Check back frequently to see our new and engaging content!
Live Lessons are perfect for all levels. Each Live Lesson is delivered by a native speaker, who will use both your new language and English to teach the topic.
No preparation is needed. Simply show up at the start time and be ready to learn and enjoy!

Yes, you can always join a class that is already in progress. However, we recommend trying to join from the start as some concepts build throughout the Live Lesson.
Live Lessons run for approximately 25 minutes each.
At this time, replays are not available. However, we are constantly updating our list of Live Lessons, and offer a variety of other video content within the “On-Demand Videos” section to supplement your learning.
The list of topics is constantly growing based on the feedback we receive. We try to focus on seasonally or culturally relevant topics, as well as commonly requested topics. If you have suggestions for upcoming classes, please feel free to mention them in the chat during any Live Lesson.
Live Lessons are available for free with most subscriptions, and have unlimited participants per class. They are great if you are looking to learn more about the culture and reinforce comprehension by listening to a native speaker. Tutoring sessions can be either a private session or a group session, but have a maximum group size of 5-6 learners and involve interaction between the native speaker and participants. Tutoring is perfect when you are looking for a more personalized option to practice conversing and get personalized feedback from an instructor.
