How Live Lessons work

Live lesson features

Live Lessons are available at popular times throughout the day, on both the website and the app. Simply look through the schedule for classes in the language you are learning, find a topic that interests you, and join at the time listed. No registration required! While we encourage you to practice speaking on your own, you can also simply listen and learn from the native-speaking tutors while interacting in the chat.

Chris, Spanish
I am studying Spanish with Rosetta Stone, and the Live Lessons are a nice interactive addition to the program. They add to the learning, with topics like regional words for sandwiches across Latin America, and practicing with opposite words. The lessons are short, fun, and work for beginners.

What is the difference between a Live Lesson and a tutoring session?

Live Lessons are available for free with most subscriptions, and have unlimited participants per class. They are great if you are looking to learn more about the culture and reinforce comprehension by listening to a native speaker. Tutoring sessions can be either a private session or a group session, but have a maximum group size of 5-6 learners and involve interaction between the native speaker and participants. Tutoring is perfect when you are looking for a more personalized option to practice conversing and get personalized feedback from an instructor.
